Tensile Testing
Tensile preparation and analysis in accordance with ASTM’s A370, B557, E8, or F606, and Commercial , Industrial, and/or customer specifications and requirements. Standard, fullsize and subsize, 0.505, 0.350 and 0.250 diameter, or specialty tensile capabilities.
150,000 lbs capacity.
Impact Testing
Charpy specimen preparation and analysis in accordance with ASTM’s A370, A540, E23, and Commercial, Industrial and/or customer specifications and requirements. V-notch, U-notch, or Un-notched capabilities. Temperature ranges for these tests are from +300°F to -320°F.
Bend Testing
Bend tests are done on the specimen, machined from the specimen, or cut out strips as required by ASTM’s A370, E190, or E290. Weld bends are in accordance to ASME or AWS
Ring Flaring / Flattening Testing
Tests for small rings are done on the specimen as required by ASTM’s A513; for pipe by API Specification 5CT
Hardness Testing
The most common uses for hardness tests is to verify the heat treatment of a part and to determine if a material has the properties necessary for its intended use. We offers Rockwell (standard or superficial), Brinell hardness, Knoop and Vickers microhardness testing. Tests are done on the specimens, welded joints, surface hardened parts to obtain hardness and hardness profiles (case depth determination), as required by ASTM A370, E10, E18, A1038, E103, D785, E140, E384 and E92.
